So, the first episode about made me call it quits from the get go. However I decided to give it a chance and as the episodes progress it is getting better and better. Now its no where near as great as the original and I don't think that it will ever be but in its own right its coming along. As a woman I do feel that the feminist agenda is coming off strong in this and a bit forced and unnecessarily brought up at times but other than that I can't wait to see how the storyline progresses.
honestly first episode SUCKED... 2º and 3º WAY BETTER ... made me want to watch more, lets hope it continues to get better
only made an account to say how bad this reboot is. need a recast to actually make us believe they are sisters, and so much politics is just awful. not even gonna watch the second episode
Thoughts on the series so far, pure crap. I loved the original, it was fun and sill and sexy. Im going to give it a few more episodes to get better and then i'm done with this drivel.
Loved and was absolutely obsessed with the original Charmed series. Wasnt a excited about a reboot this soon, but i enjoyed this Pilot, i hope the story gets better and hopefully the show doesn't get cancelled before it has a chance to prove itself.
Never watched this, its not my kind of cheese ... but for all the feminist/SJW things on TV at the moment, the majority of them feel forced and squeezed into the drama for the sheer purpose of pleasing an audience that would rate it otherwise. It shows the morals/message is lost in commercialism and placing tropes there for the sake of it like many other modern series.
I enjoyed this and the feminism fits the story as the mother waas a professor of womens studies and the daughter is a lesbian university student and would be into that kind of stuff at uni and it wasn't forced all the way through. Just the 1 daughter bringing it up. I think it is worth watching again to see if it gets better.
Honestly this show should be the poster child for how NOT to include a feminist agenda in television. I agree with most of the stuff they were talking about but even I felt like it was forced and out of place. The original show had female strength and empowerment without the blatant feminist sentence every two minutes.
Not to sure about the reboot, might give it a few more episodes before writing it off. But Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) does remind me of a young Alyssa Milano
Crap show promoting feminist agenda. I predict a cancellation after the first season. -_-
So a feminist Charmed-reboot with an athlete, a lesbian activist and a scientist? All looking like supermodels? That's basically the definition of trying too hard and I expect to cringe to death
